The ME SLL Learning Buddy app is part of the innovative Karadi Path Magic English SLL programme for functional language development. This app has been created for the facilitators and teachers at the Child Care Institutions (CCIs) under the State Child Protection Society, the Department of Social Defense, Government of Tamil Nadu. Magic English SLL develops listening comprehension, conversational speaking, and reading using an indigenously created set of tools and processes. Karadi Paths innovation lies in its pedagogy which offers a comprehension-driven approach and mimics the way one learns their mother tongue or any other language naturally from the environment. The language empowerment app here contains an exciting repository of teaching-learning resources that use actions, mime, music, theatre and read-along stories as learning tools to help teachers and facilitators at reimagine their English classrooms. The app is designed to help implement the Karadi Path methodology in a demography that has limited English exposure.
